Teething Age

Teeth begin to erupt within the first 6 months after birth. Primary teeth consist of 20 teeth in total — 10 in the upper jaw and 10 in the lower jaw — and they usually complete their eruption by the end of the 30th month.

Which teeth erupt and when?

Delayed or early tooth eruption is a very common condition. Extra teeth that appear within the first 1–2 months should be evaluated and, if necessary, removed by a pediatric dentist to prevent harm to the mother and baby. If no teeth have erupted within the first year, it is recommended to consult a dentist.

What should be done if teeth do not erupt?

Due to growth and developmental factors, teeth may erupt earlier or later than expected. If there is a significant delay in tooth eruption, you should immediately consult your pediatrician and have the necessary examinations and tests performed.
